Sunlight Epipelagic
The first two hundred metres hold most of the ocean's life and all of its sunlight. Pelagia leaves the A-frame at 06:40 and falls through it in three minutes. Look up while you can: the surface is a moving ceiling of light, and you will not see anything like it for the next nine hours.

You'll seeChambered nautilus rising from their daytime depth, bait balls of bigeye scad, and caustics sliding over the hull.
